ABOUT DAVID "CROCKETT" LONG

As President of Long Beverage, Inc., Crockett had been in the beverage distribution business for over 50 years. 

He served on the board of the NC Beer and Wine Wholesaler Association as Chairman from 2013-2015, rising to PAC Chairman. He was a founding member of the Jim Valvano Kids Klassic and served on the Executive Board as co-chair, which has raised more than 4 million dollars for pediatric cancer research for Duke Children's Hospital.
Crockett served as Executive Chairman of the Extra Special Super Kids, and he was an avid supporter of the Landfall Foundation.

Crockett was one of a kind. He would light up any room that he entered and was larger than life. He gave selflessly and unconditionally. Crockett was the definition of a true gentleman, husband, father figure, and mentor, and he was the perfect example of paying it forward with kindness.
